One of the things I like about sex dolls, is that you can change the head and get a very different look, almost an entire new doll (in appearence that is). The head is attached with a bolt, you just unscrew the head and put on another one. Other than that, you can change the wig, the eye color and makeup to further change her appearence.
The head arrives in a small box.
Included in every doll head purchase is one pair of eyes and one wig.
The head is wrapped up pretty good - thankfully.
Several layers.
And of course the Batman mask - to protect her eyes.
First thing to do is inspect the head for damage. Luckily, there was no damage to this head.
This is an YL #188 head. She has the "Silver cat eyes" and purple lipstick. I picked these eyes since I have nearly all other colors already. I'm thinking of putting in the garnet colored eyes on this head eventually. But for now, she will have these eyes - and they certainly do look cool, in my opinion. The thing about these eyes, is that the pupils are not round, as they are on regular eyes, they are elongated. That means that making these eyes look perfectly aligned with each other for photography, is harder than ever.
The wig is shipped inside a plastic bag, covered in a black net, to protect its shape.
This is Booberella's original head - WM #47, with green eyes. She still has the factory lipstick, which is starting to fade.
Side by side comparison.
Since I have only had one head for Booberella this whole time, I haven't had any reason to unscrew her head at all.
After the head has been attached to the neck with constant pressure for about 19 months straight, it does leave a mark. And a smudge from that number they wrote on the bottom of the head. Luckily it's only on the neck, which will not be visible when you screw on another head.
This is what she looks like with her new head. Look at it for about 10 seconds or so...
Did you notice if anything was "off"? Look again, before you read any further.
I bet you didn't notice it, with her wig on and everything...
The danger with buying a second head for your doll, long after you bought the body - is that you may not get a 100% matching skin tone. When you order a doll, they will use the same batch of TPE for the head as well as the body - which means you will get a perfect match, obviously. But when you order a head sometime later on, you will get a different batch, with the same skin color, but it doesn't always match perfectly. Looking at the next picture, you can clearly see a difference in skin tone. The new head is darker than the body.
You didn't notice that in the previous picture, did you? Once you slap on that wig and all, you will not notice it anymore. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and something like this could bother me enormously - but it's hardly noticeable, unless you take off her wig and expose the neck area. So I don't really care much. Of course, you could end up with a bigger mismatch which would be more noticeable, that would certainly annoy me to no end.
I am certainly satisfied with my purchase.
That's all, folks!
